What is Google Tag Manager?
Google Tag Manager, also known by its acronym GTM , is one of the free tools that the Google search engine offers to users to manage the tags and code fragments that they want to insert into a website.

It is best used when a marketer wants to track a campaign in Google Analytics, Google AdWords , or Facebook Ads with ease. In general, it should be used to manage a website's tags in order to drive results from digital marketing campaigns more effectively.
