The concrete commitment of companies when it comes to corporate sustainability

Once this theoretical part is understood, one can ask what activities companies are actually implementing to achieve corporate sustainability.

A study was recently conducted by the Energy & Strategy Group of the south africa whatsapp resource Milan Polytechnic – the project is called “ Green Tech ” – on this very topic, which interviewed 80 companies to understand how relevant the topic of sustainability is for them, what their priorities are and, above all, in which of the many areas in which sustainability takes shape the companies themselves are actually committing themselves.

In particular, one of the aspects considered most relevant is the efficiency in the use of production factors and in the energy and environmental optimisation of the structures , at least according to 59% of the companies interviewed (34% efficiency, 25% recovery).

Next comes the topic of recovery and recycling , which is generally seen by companies as a key factor to be implemented in order to decisively reduce production costs and not only that, given that, as has already been said, the issue of waste and its management is one of the most delicate and complex aspects of any economic activity.
