You can select the file types to allow from the list, or add custom file types.

Method 2: Allow users to upload images as guest authors
A key reason for allowing users to upload images is to collect contributions from guest posts. You can also use a very similar approach with other user-generated content (such as testimonials).

First, you need to install and activate the WPForms plugin. For more details, check out our step-by-step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Note: To use the "Post Submissions" plugin, you need the "Pro" version (or higher).

After activating the plugin, you need to visit the WPForms settings page in your WordPress dashboard to enter your license key. You can find the license key in the Downloads tab of your account on the WPForms website.

When you enter your license key on the website, you will see the following:

Then, go to WPForms » Addons to install the Post Submission plugin.

Click the "Install Plugin" button. It will automatically install and activate

At this point, you can start creating your guest post submission form.

Go to WPForms” Add New and scroll down to find the blog post submission form.

Click on it and a new form will be created. It will have predefined fields for guest author data, as well as suggested post titles, content, featured images, post summary, and categories.

You can add more fields (form section) if needed. For example, you can add a "Website/URL" field where authors can enter the URL of their WordPress blog.
