The State Attorney is a public employee . He has advisory functions and the representation and defense (contentious function) of the State and the entities and organizations that depend on it, and may also assume the defense in court of local Corporations. Syllabus
The State Attorney's exam is one of the most extensive and difficult exams that exists. There are a total of 465 topics :
Criminal Law, 31 topics.

What is the state attorney exam like?
It consists of 5 exercises .
The first consists of orally explaining 8 topics selected at random, according to the following order:
Two topics of Civil Law.
A topic of Mortgage Law.
Two topics of Procedural Law.
A matter of commercial law.
A matter of Labor Law.
It lasts 65 minutes , and it is mandatory to spend a minimum of 5 minutes on the presentation of each of the topics.
The second exercise also consists of orally presenting 7 topics from the following subjects of the program:
A matter of Constitutional Law.
Two topics of Administrative Law.
Two Public Treasury issues.
A topic of Public International Law and European Community Law.
A matter of criminal law.
The duration is the same as for the first exercise.
The third exercise is a language test has two parts:
The first of these consists of orally proving before the Court that you have sufficient knowledge of reading and translating the chosen language, which will be English or French.
In the second part, you must also prove orally before the Court that you have sufficient knowledge of reading and translating the language chosen from among the official languages of the European Union, which must be different from the language chosen to take the first part. In this case, the test is voluntary .
The fourth exercise is of a practical nature and consists of carrying out a written action in a judicial matter in which the State or Public Law Entities linked to or dependent on the General State Administration are parties. The maximum duration is 10 hours , and legal and jurisprudential texts can be consulted in paper and computer format.
