The task of developing a project through the Theory of Change helps us to think strategically about social intervention. This way, we can make better decisions about activities to carry out in the projects and accurately measure the impact we seek in the initial stages.

Every time we start a project we have in mind a goal that we want to achieve. Our life is phone number in philippines surrounded by actions that mobilize us to reach a different state than the current one. But do we stop to review how we did it or ask ourselves if it had the desired effect?

In most cases I would say that we are aware of the goal achieved and that can be demonstrated with a few pieces of evidence from the environment. The Theory of Change, according to Carol Weiss and Helene Clark , offers a good way to understand how actions produce the results necessary to generate social change, being a valuable tool when planning projects. This methodology helps to visualize and better understand the causal effect between actions and impact. It also establishes adequate evaluation processes.

In simple terms, it allows you to know exactly where the intervention comes from, what it will do, how it will do it and why it will do it, clearly identifying the final result. At the time of a social intervention through the Theory of Change, the purpose and the ultimate goal to be achieved must be clear.

Key points to highlight:

Needs: Problems that are observed in reality and that lead to the development of the intervention are described. Several needs will probably be found. The important thing is to establish which are the fundamental ones, since this will help determine the scope of the social intervention.
Inputs and activities: These are all the key resources needed to achieve the program outputs and the specific activities that will transform those key resources into desired results.
Products : It is the result of the combination of activities and inputs, which is achieved immediately after executing planned actions.
Intermediate results : These are changes that occur as a result of the intervention and that lead to the achievement of macro-level objectives. They are modifications in attitudes, knowledge, capabilities and behaviors that result from these products.
