Community Manager Duties: Definition for Dummies

I hate going to parties because I'm always asked about my job and, frankly, I'm sick of being questioned about the functions of a community manager . That's why I've decided that the best way to solve the problem for future events is to create a post summarizing what a community manager does. That way, when someone asks me questions, I'll just have to give them the link to this post and, in the process, I'll get visits to the blog. Am I not a genius?

Functions of a Community Manager
Imagine that you have just been hired as a community manager at a latvia phone number list (or you have been given the position of Social Media Strategist, to be a bit more pedantic). What should be your first steps to impress your new bosses? Well, they could be these:

Creating a Social Media Strategy

This document is like the community Bible or, more than the Bible, the master plan. It contains the objectives that are intended to be achieved by being on social networks. They can be as ethereal as gaining visibility or online reputation or much more detailed, such as getting 10,000 followers on Twitter or getting 20,000 monthly visits from Facebook. It also establishes the target audience, the tone to use and, in short, all those details that will guide the work of the community.

Claiming brand names on social media

This is a protective measure by creating profiles to protect the brand. Even if a brand is not on, for example, Pinterest, it can create a profile with its name and then keep it inactive simply so that the name is not used by anyone else with dubious intentions.
