Another trend that is gaining strength is live-streaming practices in B2B.
It is not something new, but we wanted to analyze this trend because it is gaining relevance in the IT sector . Livestreaming is nothing more than the broadcasting of live videos on social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter, Twitch, etc.).
Let's take the Twitch channel and the following account as an example. It's not in the B2B field, but it serves to give an idea of how live streaming practices are evolving. The live-streaming format is no longer aimed solely at a young audience. Gerard Romero , a sports journalist and promoter of the Spanish alternative football competitions Kings League and Queens League, has reached more than 700,000 followers on this platform. With his live broadcasts on current sports events, Gerard, 38, is an example of el salvador leads how the live video platform Twitch is reaching a wider audience.
But let's go back to the B2B sector, and especially the SME and software consultancy market. There are many uses for livestreaming: sharing live an event that we are organizing or participating in, presenting a new service or software version, offering training on how to use a tool, but also facilitating conversations with potential customers. A virtual tour of the company's premises is another perfect example of livestreaming.
The goal is for companies to get closer to their customers and leads , transmitting confidence through the people behind them. Live broadcasting increases the possibilities of exchange and interaction. The impact on the number of reactions on social networks and the number of times a post is shared is significant.
That’s probably why LinkedIn has started offering LinkedIn Events , a feature for broadcasting live video content. As LinkedIn users, we see “X is live – a good pitch for live streaming ” pop up in our notifications.
And if we talk numbers, according to LinkedIn, LinkedIn Live videos get, on average, 7 times more reactions and 24 times more comments than native videos produced by the same advertisers.
And speaking of formats… Do videos and podcasts share the same battle ?
Podcasts: the future of SEO and voice search?
Of course, we have taken note of the growing trend of podcast consumption in Spain on audio platforms (apps, websites, etc.). Digital News Report published a study on the evolution of podcast listening in Spain between 2018 and 2023. It contains some surprising figures:
