In our previous newsletters we interviewed two of the departments that come into direct contact with students. In general terms, they are responsible for both the selection of suitable candidates for each course, as well as for advising and resolving any queries that may arise before and during the course.
Today, Raúl Leal, head of the Femxa Group Center Network area, takes over the baton. This department is in charge of training centers throughout the country and where the relationship with students gains importance from the moment in-person courses begin.
We start with the interview.
Good morning Raúl, first of all thank you for taking the time to share your time with us.
Today, Grupo Femxa has its own training centers in Vigo, Madrid, Salamanca and Valencia.
For each of our own centres we have the necessary accreditations to teach Professional Certificates in which, in addition, we are also accredited to teach Training Specialties.
1. Could you tell us how Grupo Femxa has expanded through training centres and why you have chosen the current locations?
This expansion is carried out by locating the centres in those areas where we have the greatest demand for services, trying to achieve the highest level of satisfaction for the students, our main clients. The current distribution of centres allows us to cover a large part of the national territory.
2. Do you plan to continue expanding your network of centres in 2017?
Our mindset and objectives are always to grow, based on the approval of pending calls or requests for future calls and without losing sight of the business opportunities offered by the company's different business lines. Wherever these opportunities are detected, the viability of establishing ourselves will be studied.
3. These centres are our own centres, managed directly by the department you lead, but the Network of Centres also establishes collaboration agreements with other centres. Do you also manage these centres from your area?
No, contacts with these "third party" centres are carried out from another department of Grupo Femxa. Contact between both departments is close and continuous due to the sharing of processes, procedures, etc.
4. Before the start of the courses, do you participate in any way in the selection of students?
The centres support the work of the Student Support and Advice and Digital Marketing departments.
Since last summer we have launched a very successful face-to-face action with which we have achieved two fundamental objectives: to energize our own centers by providing them with life and content and, on the other hand, and even more importantly, to give the best attention to our students even before they become students. I am talking about our face-to-face information sessions.
Thanks to them, we not only bring together all those interested in our courses and offer them 100% personalized attention, but we also share with them our way of teaching, we introduce our teachers and they begin to make contact with Grupo Femxa before the start of the courses.
An action that also helps us to collect very valuable feedback that allows us to be in a process of continuous improvement of our care and advice processes.
In addition to the information sessions, our centres are open during business hours list of mexico cell phone numbers so that anyone who wishes can come and meet us, resolve any queries, ask about our course offerings and obtain information, and even register on our website. The centre managers are there to help and inform you of everything.
And this is not the end of it! Very soon we will begin with another of the actions that we are most excited about, and that is that little by little we will begin to receive visits from professionals, companies and entities that will help our students find the best job opportunities.
Our mission is to promote the employability of all our students through the best free training .
All classrooms in our centres are equipped with the necessary elements and means to provide quality training.
In the case of teaching professional certificates, the classrooms go through a process prior to teaching, which consists of accreditation by the competent Labor Administration. This procedure certifies the suitability of the space and means necessary for carrying out the training actions. The Application and Network Centers departments are mainly involved in the accreditation of the classrooms.
When the implementation of a course requires special elements, communication with our logistics provider is essential. In this case, at the time of planning or during delivery, the consultant will request the necessary means.
6. When courses start, how do you welcome new students and manage their reception at the centre?
On the starting day, the consultants assigned to each of our courses present the course. Through this process, students are provided with information relevant to the entire training process, from the beginning to the end of non-work placements, if they exist. This information is related to the facilities, schedules, content, methodology, rights and duties...
In addition to transmitting this information verbally, students are sent an email with the content covered during the presentation, so they can consult it whenever they wish.
From this moment on, the student identifies the consultant, in addition to the teacher, as the person to turn to in case any questions arise.
7. Many of the courses offer non-work placements , which are carried out in various companies. Do you participate in the search for these entities and assess which candidates are most suitable for each organisation?
The provision of professional certificates involves the management of non-work practices.
From the beginning of the theoretical part of the certificates, the consultants begin contacting the companies to which each of the students who successfully complete their training will be assigned.
During the course, our students are asked for information regarding their interests, preferences, and time availability that can guide the consultants when making the most appropriate assignment between student and company. Likewise, when contacting the companies that receive students on internships, they require certain profiles, so this information provided by the students is essential.
