Drivers of growth of the crypto industry in Ukraine

Over the past five years, more than 80 innovative startups have been launched in the country. Most of these companies are not limited to the domestic market and are entering the international arena, serving customers around the world. This contributes to the growth of recognition of Ukrainian brands and emphasizes the high quality and competitiveness of developments.

Ukrainian Web3 companies are attracting significant investment and have special database already surpassed the $1 billion mark, according to a Hypra report. Among the largest investors are such well-known names as Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, and Hypersphere, confirming the potential of the Ukrainian market.

By the way, more than 10 Ukrainian investment funds are also actively investing in blockchain and cryptocurrency projects. Among them are TA Ventures, Hypra, SID Fund, Roosh Ventures, and ZBS Capital, which has the largest number of crypto startups in its portfolio.

Startups with Ukrainian roots are found in almost all segments of the industry, many of which have gained global popularity and have communities of millions of users. Among them are blockchain platforms (Solana, NEAR, zkSync), payment services (WhitePay, GEOpay), crypto exchanges (WhiteBit, Kuna), infrastructure providers (Everstake, Unstoppable Domains), crypto wallets (Trustee Plus), security companies (Hacken), as well as projects in the areas of DeFi, analytics, and many others.

Education and awareness
In Ukraine, the level of support and development of the cryptosphere is truly high, as evidenced even by the launch of a free crypto literacy and blockchain course by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, which has found support among leading companies and industry experts. But this is just the beginning.
